I have an Hp deskjet ink advant k209a-z printer that is about 2 and a half years old, I have been using it fequently without any big unused intervals...for a few weeks now it has been showing a strange non-responsive behavior,

when ever I print manual two sided printing on both sides of the page,
It only prints one side and when I flip and load manually the pages get stuck and takes like 10 minutes per page...its like it pulls a little then stops and then again like this and so on...

I had to print some documents, to save ink and pages I often use fast draft settings and left edged booklet mode..with 2 pages per side on both sides of the page but its impossible now as it doesn't respond to the manual flip and load...

It has never been serviced or repaired by any mechanic, I have tried re-installing its drivers and even tried re-installing the text editor software but its showing a mysterious problem  ...Is there some processor in the printer as well? might that have a problem with the responding or something else is gone?

please help me as I can't afford a new printer as of now :( ... thanks....

Have you tried uninstalling it in device manager, turning off the printer for a moment, and then reinstalling it?

Start+R, devmgmt.msc, find the printer there, right-click, uninstall. (Don't remove the driver.) Turn the printer off for a moment, and see if it gets automatically reinstalled. (Look in printers & devices/faxes.) If not, go to HP's site and download and install the driver. (Just the basic one; the extra software they'll probably offer you is almost always junk.)

First of all I'd like to thank you for help, your suggestions did help but not certain about the stability of the results and they seem to relapse sometimes.
whats the next step we can try in case the problem is something else?

GET IT CLEANED. You said you never had it serviced. Inkjet and laser printers need to be cleaned. There are cleaning packages you can get at Office Depot, which are basically cleaning sheets you run through the printer on a regular basis, like once a week. But since you've not done that, you have to get it serviced. That will probably cost you $100, maybe more, depends on how hard it is to clean. Find a cleaning or printer repair service near you and get it serviced. This is especially true because you print in duplex. Dirties the innards of the machine faster, to print duplex. And in the future, consider going paperless, to save time on service calls and the kind of problem you now have. Or if not paperless, run cleaning sheets through your printer once a week or so, especially if you've printed duplex.

I've used my printers for 20 years and seldom on duplex. The cleaning sheets are the key to why I've not had but few times the machines needed service. The only ones needing service, were used for duplex printing.
