Hello. Is there anyone who has experienced any of these monitors?
I would go for 27'' but i'm afraid it's gonna be "pixel-ed" as it has the same resolution 1080x1920, with the 23''.
I haven't seen them live, so it would be great if someone could post his comments on them.
I want to have it both as TV and monitor for my laptop.

First, I have not used or seen either, but I can comment in general terms.

For computer use only, I would say go with a 23" screen as it will be less "pixelated" for computer using (i.e. when you are sitting about foot from the screen). The exception would be if your eyesight is going...having the same resolution on a bigger screen will make everything bigger (but more "pixelated").

If you are using it also for TV watching and sitting at a "TV distance" (i.e. at least 3 or more feet away of it), then it might be worth living with the slightly more "pixelation" when using as a computer screen to make it better for TV watching. It will all depend on how computer use vs. TV watching you will do.

I have to agree. In my opinion, 23" is fine (though maybe a tiny bit smaller than I'd like), 24-25" is good, and 27" is definitely too big. The one time I recommended a 27" 1080p monitor to someone was because they said they had really poor eyesight.

I don't have any experience with LG monitors, but can say that Samsung, ASUS, and HP are worth looking into. Acer seems to be crap, and although Dells have good picture quality, Dell stuff in general doesn't seem to be well built and I won't recommend them. (I also know a guy with a Dell monitor that failed after a few years.)

Thank you both!
I thought maybe with the IPS technology there won't be any pixelat-ed problems... I don't really know.
I'm thinking going with the 23'' to be sure.

IPS means better picture quality, better color, and better viewing angles, but it has nothing doing with pixelation.

I too have to reply in general terms, lacking personal experience with LGs. I'm using a 23" LCD monitor for both computer, television, and blu ray viewing in my "man cave" and find the size and resolution to be an acceptable compromise. This is especially true since, as smax013 points out, most of my time is spent within a couple of feet of the screen.

Regarding anecdotal reviews, you're better off going with volume. Rather than reviews from a few of us on a site like this I think it's wiser to consider the reviews on Newegg, Amazon, etc., where you can look at the pros and cons from dozens of users.

The only problem I have with those reviews is that I tend to be a bit sensitive to picture quality and color shifting, and most reviewers aren't. In my case, I've found that it's best to simply view the monitor in a store first.

I agree that tells you a lot about the picture (color accuracy, viewing angle, etc.), but it doesn't give you any indication about the reliability or customer satisfaction.

True - I'm looking for a better monitor right now, and am considering both factors. I'll probably order it online anyway.

Here is a fresh review of the TV/monitor: http://www.digitalve...13926/test.html

What do you think?
compnovo, i totally agree with you about "anecdotal reviews" (maybe the above is one!).

Specs in case someone needs it:

I don't think a TV as a computer monitor is a good idea - they tend tend to have a bad response time, which is really noticeable with the cursor.
