W7 + displayfusion seems to have the multiple monitor scenario covered pretty well - still struggling to find a compelling reason to 'upgrade' to W8.....

Nice tutorial, thanks!! But I'm with Mike921. My Radeon HD6870 Flex & W7 are doing a great job with my three monitors. I, too, am struggling to find a compelling reason to dump 7 for 8.

How about adding 3 plus monitors? What would be really beneficial is being able to have more than 2 windows automatically resize evenly on a large monitor. With Win7, you can quickly get two windows evenly sized easy enough.

How do you make the start screen dedicated to the second monitor? For some reason mine is bugging, it was the other monitor until I logged out

is there any way, when using a laptop and 2 external monitors, to have a side by side set up and a stack set up? essentially i am hoping to have a monitor to the right of my laptop and one on the wall above it? will windows 8 allow this?

I'm doing a similar thing currently, you can position each monitor within the display resolutions pane and drag them around the main screen as you see fit. They can be aligned anywhere along the 4 edges of the main screen and can be offset or centered as you see fit.

I have a DVI-D and a CRT monitor attached to an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card.

How can I get separate desktops on these monitors?

I would like to add a second screen to my Toshiba LX830. However it only has HDMI input, no poutput so I cannot get a connection. The screen I am trying to connect has VGA and DVI/D connection leads. Any ideas or is it impossible?
