Android Refuses To Recognize Album Art On Mp3

I have a certain mp3 with embedded album art that my Android phone simply will not recognize, no matter what. WMP and VLC recognize it and play it just fine. The music app on my phone plays the mp3 just fine, but displays the generic cover art (with the album name) instead. Is there any way to force it to actually read the album art off the file? (I set it via Mp3tag, and haven't had any issues with the hundreds of other mp3s I've tagged, aside from one that turned out to be corrupt and unplayable.)
