Sigh.. i registred just so reply here..[quote:d8f467c065]Vista?[/quote:d8f467c065] think its not even in the top 150 and/or 200. Vista sucks bigtime, allot of ppl still having problem with their hardware and stuff.[quote:d8f467c065]Google Apps could evolve into something interesting[/quote:d8f467c065]It will, google will grow large. ALLOT of ppl use Google as their search engine, google mail has 20GB of storage, just a mather of time before ppl realise it that it is great. The Xbox Elite is kinda hard to understand. I am a Sony/Playstation fanboy. I think the reason that Ps3 is not on teh list is bcuz its not selling good and/or to expensive (for most of the ppl). But i think it will be on the list of 2008 (more games, greater technology)From wiki[quote:d8f467c065]A single layer Blu-ray Disc (ps3) can store 25 GB, over 5 times the size of a single layer DVD at 4.7 GB[/quote:d8f467c065][quote:d8f467c065]A single layer HD DVD (xbox 360) can store 15 GB (single layer)[/quote:d8f467c065]More space = better/more sounds ,better graphics, more blood  etc etc...

I cannot believe it: Vista not in the top 100! Opera browser not in the top 100! Get a grip! I would certainly like to know why Vista or OpenSuse or Gentoo is not in the list whereas Ubuntu Feisty is (even though I am an user of Xubuntu myself). Hell if you have to put in Ubuntu, put in a whole lot of distros. This list seems like that for Linux only Ubuntu is the standard distro and all others suck. Before putting in Ubuntu, put in synaptic or apt-get, which had made Linux so much easier for newbies like me. Put in iptables, instead of all these security tools. I really cannot understand the position of Firefox. How can a not fully standards compliant browser be in the top 100, which is slower, more bloated, and less secure than another browser (Opera), which does not find a mention, but is more compliant with web standards , much faster, much more slim, supports much more platforms, and much more secure.

Why are 31 of these items not PC related? And why do 72% the 18 categories of PC related items listed only have 1 or 2 items? Read all the statistics and vent at http://techtrekblog....nics-world.html

Personally, I felt that the only video game console that deserved to make the list was the Nintendo Wii. The PS3 doesn't have the software support (yet) and the Xbox 360 has already established a reputation for dying early via hardware failure, thus leading to the "red ring of death". The Wii, on the other hand has evolved into the first video game system to really reach the masses with simple, interactive play that caters to all ages; while providing a superb user interface, interactive controls, web browsing, news, weather, photo editor, a classic gaming download service, and built-in wi-fi.

OMG there were a few that should have been there ans some that should not have been. Avast anyone? Should have been top 3, wii should have been number 2 if not 1st on this list. I wanna meet the people that write these reviews so I can beat them to death with there dell computer there using... I own a pc shop, we test these items, the wii took a baseball bat and kept running the ps3 shattered like a piece of glass and the 360 put up the middle of the fight.. It seem that the items on this list were placed by 6 year olds that had no idea as to what to type. And all im saying about vista is this, bill gates should be beaten to death with one of the side panels from a computer that has vista on it. How about a few game titles hmm like C&C 3.. I mean lets get real here we need real people writing this stuff not some lamo wanna be guru, that sits in front of his pc and plays WoW all day..

Verizon FiOS ? PCW must not have considered the Customer Service as part of this selection or it would be nowhere near the top 100. The technology is great but, I have found the Customer Service to extremely frustrating. Billing department fiascos (and closed on weekends), inadequate customer messaging, overcharges, hold ques over an hour for tech support, transferring around and around in circles. This has to be the worst Customer Service I have ever experienced.
