After viewing a PBS special on 'Password Managers', the only credible Googles that appeared were the PCWorld piece (10/18/2010, R. Mitchell), and one from Purdue Univ (2008) - both TOO old. There must be something more current + credible? tks

Ahem, how about a Word or Excel document that you keep updated and periodically print out a hard copy for backup.

tks, but anyone gaining access to my laptop, local or remote, then has access to all my acct information + IDs and passwords? right? I could password protect the MS file, but is that the only level of 'security' you'd suggest??

I'm a big fan of Password Safe. Been using it for years. It's available on just about every platform, which is nice. I've got it on my Windows PC, my Android phone, and my iPad.

BTW, was the PBS show you mentioned this one: http://www.pbs.org/n...line_08-14.html?
