Until the 11th, login features are supposed to be down for maintenance, as far as I can tell. (Go to pcworld.com/logon and you'll see it.) It seems that you can still post if you were already logged in though.

Brian is correct. The date has changed to the 14th now. We're upgrading a lot of stuff which is requiring the outage.

What stuff in particular? And how is it that we can still post when already logged in?

There will not be any significant changes to the forums.

You can still post because you are still logged in. As long as your cookies don't expire you will stay logged in.

You can login now by way of the main PCWorld page (or any PCWorld article page), but the login link on the forums page is still broken (you get a 404 error). I suspect they just have not gotten around to updating the forums' login link (or the logo, "menu" at the top, etc), but they might have overlooked it.

I will also note that the link to the forums has been further relegated to more obscurity in the website design. On PCWorld is not that much worse compared to a couple years ago when they removed the forums link from the "menu" at the top, but even then you could find it without too much trouble. Now, it is buried all the way at the bottom of the page.
