Just purchased a Compaq Presario CQ62 Labtop from my Granddaughter if I press f8 to safe mode her name appears. How can we change to my name. Thanks for any advice.

Hi, does it appear in a black screen or windows default screen?
If its windows screen, change admin name, goto control panel and check for user accounts to change it..

Hello and welcome.
Why are you using the safe mode? Do you have any problems with normal booting? And why should you PURCHASE it from your granddaughter if she could just GIVE this Compaq to you? Strange.

Thanks for the reply. I am not using safe mode was their looking for adm. name normal booting is fine. If u must know about my granddaughter who is just 1 of 16 that i love very much.She needed a little help. Have a nice day & again thanks.
