Alan, my IT department will order thousands. But we're just a small telco company that require users to run native x86 applications. Win8 will be the only solution in town.

I am so relieved to know you speak for the entire world's populace. I was getting worried.

HP hasn't produced a good product in years.
always be just.

Sensationalistic to say the least. I was expecting to read it had a serious hardware malfunction (bad motherboards, bad cpu, bad screen) not that it had crappy resolution resulting in the lack of a feature.

#Doomed

..On a side note when it has been condemned and sells for $49.95 on closeout -I'll take five.

So according to you the world will come to an end before 26 October. Because if it doesn't, I will buy one. And so will many others I know.

I actually already have a 15 month old Acer Iconia Tab with Windows 8 on it. It runs like a dream with its meagre 1GHz dual processor (eg peacekeeper.futuremark result with Chrome is about 100% better than incontinencePad3's result). Looking forward to see the plethora of even faster, better, more optimised Windows 8 devices in couple of weeks' time.

After 26 October using an iPad in public is like driving a moped on a motorway.

New Tech that fails, if you want quality get second or third gen computerware its better off and has wayyy less kinks then most other things.

You will be surprised to see how many windows 8 tablets sold in the first day. At least not zero as you predict.

Yah. At least not bad comparing with the iPad2 that people are still buying. No one says iPad2's low resolution is a fatal flaw.

actually agree with the HP call on this one. 19:9 is such an awful aspect ratio for productive work. 16:10, even at the expense of snap, is far better. Here's hoping the next generation of Intel's Atom processors support a higher resolution 16:10 display!

Alas the fatal flaw resides with the PC-World editorial staff's direction, hell bent on creating ridiculous click bait titles, pushing their pro-Apple propaganda and diarrhea of disinformation.
