Brian is sending you in the right direction. WinDirStat will show you what folders are taking up space, which is the first thing you need to know if you want to free up space.

No, we don't need to know that. As for the OS, he posted in the Windows section of the forum, so I'm assuming he runs Windows. (duh!) It really doesn't matter from there - the paths I posted for temp folders and WinDirStat definitely work with XP, Vista, and 7 (and almost certainly 8 as well), and he's almost certainly running one of those.
(By the way, OP, if you clear the temp files, note that the most recent ones may be in use and cannot be deleted. That said, you'll probably have plenty of old ones that the system has long forgotten about, wasting space, that can be safely deleted.)

CE, calm down, we sometimes request the information if needed to determine if it's a hardware or a software (or a user) problem. It's not a requirement because lots little things can eat up disk space very quickly.
But I second WinDirStat, its easy and just post a screenshot of the results and we can tell you what's going on.

Hi. In most cases, system specs are helpful and necessary. This is not one of those cases. About the only thing pertinent to this situation would be the Hdd size, and that is a moot point. Something is using up hdd space and Brian's suggestion is the best wat to find out what. Then you can deal with it. I could spend time and have him chasing all kinds of stuff ( as could others ), but WinDirStat is the quickest way to get there. Once he finds out what it is then we can tell him how to deal with it.

Yes. WinDirStat is useful but, I like the free version of Tree Size. You can explore all folders and see exactly what's in there.
Take a look :

Integrates in the Explorers context menu for easy accessibility.

That information is irrelevant to the solution. I don't need to know the brand of toaster you have to help you fix your computer, for instance. 'Nuff said...

Hmm, I haven't used that one before, but it looks similar enough. I'll have to take a look. (the one thing I don't like about WinDirStat is that, if you delete something from it, it takes a second to reload a bunch of stuff)

Didn't do so bad when I had all those videos from FRAPS.
