I am using 2 Windows 7 Professional 64 bit machines and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32 bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.

The network works very well with one issue. When I add a new folder on one machine and try to access that new folder from another machine the new folder does not appear. I must disconnect the network drive from the machine with the new folder then map a new drive. When I map the new drive the new folder displays in Windows Explorer on the second machine.

This is very frustrating when I want to add an email attachment file from another machine and it won't display until I disconnect and re-map the drive.

I hope this all make sense. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this issue? I don't remember this problem when my network was XP Pro machines.

Thanks for your help.

Once the folder has been "shared", does restarting one or both PCs in question help?

This problem occurs often due to shell conflicts...(like stack/protocol conflicts in wireless), However Auto-refresh won't happen, manual refresh should do this,
Try disabling firewall in both the machines and uncheck offline availability...update the issue... direct command prompt may be tried with but try this first...

I have not tried restarting one or both computers. To get the network drive to refresh I must disconnect then re-map the drive on the machine I am trying to access the remote network drive from.

I will try disabling the Comodo Firewall on both machines. Where or how to I uncheck offline availability. Please explain what you mean by update the issue... direct command prompt may be tried.

Thanks very much for your help.
