I have had an issue each time I power up my computer since I uninstalled Acronis True Image some time ago.
A black error screen appears stating “Starting Acronis Loader…Acronis Loader fatal error: Boot drive (partion) not found. Press<enter> to try to boot your OS’. Pressing <enter> does start Windows 7 OS each time. I have not been able to correct this problem -Acronis /forums have not been able to help .I have not found anything in the registry relating to Acronis. How can I get rid of this annoying issue

Hi. Click START then in the box type in Acronis and see what if anything, comes up. If anything comes up then Delete it. After that, download and install: www.CCleaner.com and run that as well as the registry tool. I suspect, there are still some files left over from the uninstall.

Hi Lew,
I did some googling and, like yourself, couldn't find an easy solution. It appears that Acronis creates a partition when it's installed that doesn't go away when the program is uninstalled. One POSSIBLE solution would be to install EASEUS's Partition Master...
http://www.partition...om/personal.htm
and look to see if you do indeed have a small partition in your system that shouldn't be there. You can do the same thing with Window's built-in utility but Partition Master makes it easy to merge partitions (I've done that in the past). Merging the partition MAY make the error go away, and I've never had the operation cause problems.
Another option is to fix the boot process by right-clicking Command Prompt, selecting "Run as Administrator" and typing /fixmbr at the prompt. I'm reluctant to recommend this because it could cause problems --- I'm just throwing it out there as a possibility if absolutely nothing else works.

Try the instructions on the 2nd post here: http://www.wildersse...d.php?t=222714. (I know that's for Vista, but it's the same in 7.)
