Chrome has never been any quicker on my Linux machines. And nothing is quicker than Windows 8+IE as of right now.

Even on Linux, there's still a big difference for me. As it is, I haven't even considered IE, because it lacks the nice addons that Chrome and Firefox have, and it traditionally hasn't been good with following standards. Heck, I have it uninstalled (OK, disabled, whatever) on both of my machines.

Kinda makes it hard for you to comment on that which you don't use.

I have occasionally tried it, and haven't found any addons that are anywhere near as good as those for Chrome or Firefox.

Mint 14 Cinnamon looks nice, though it seems to be having some issues with VMware's drivers (I told it I was running Ubuntu 64-bit since Mint wasn't an option.).

I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. The test machine is down for repairs (new caps).

Eh, it was a cheap-o Emachines MSI board, and the secondary caps exploded some time ago. I just need to get them replaced so that it behaves a little better.
