You can actually link Maluuba to the search button (double tap), I do it on a Nexus S.

That said, this is one seriously cool and useful Android app, one you should definitely whip out the next time a co-worker crows about Siri.
I haven't seen anyone use SIRI for seriously close to a year now. But, that's just me. I do work with quite a few iPhone users though.

It does movie reviews as well; just tap on the Rotten Tomatoes icon next to the movie. That'll open up RT to the relevant review page.

Wow... I have tried most of the "personal assistant" apps out there for Android, and I used Siri on my iPhone 4S. Maluuba is VERY impressive! It's not perfect, but it's freakin' impressive!

It's not hard to beat Siri.. especially here in Canada.

I have Speaktoit installed on my phone, I use it once in a blue moon, but when we compared it to Siri, it not only stood it's ground, it often beat Siri.

One of the best examples was to turn off wifi and GPS then ask each of them;

"Where am I".

Siri- "I'm not quite sure where you are"
Speaktoit- "Let me find you" followed by a nearly exact address and even the exact direction I was facing in the building.

To be honest.. we were all a little freaked out by how easily it figured all that out.

I asked it what's the news, and it showed me the web page for The Sun! Does it default for Sun readers?!

Just tried downlding Maluuba to my Samsung SGH T589R (Q)......and got the error message saying this version of Maluuba is not compatible with my phone.
Is there another version I should try?

Tried it and it was awful. Pretty much every thing could be done by Google Now& often with s better results... The one thing this did was be able to set up reminders for the next day, which for some reason Google can't do (it only does time and not dates). Couldn't find any other reason for this. Often it just opened Google search pages or YouTube & it uses Google for searches anyway... And Siri gives voice responses . this doesn't so don't see comparisons.. GoogkeNiw also uses voice for some searches and weather... Deleted app
