I do not agree with your comment MoopMeep. Every browser has their flaws. IE, Firefox, Opera, Chrome. I truly love chrome for the fact that I can add and remove things on my PC and do the same on my android device. The fact that google wants to be a big player in Windows 8 just shows you how easy one company can play with another. Do you see Yahoo taking any strides in working with Windows 8?

I have Chrome as default on Windows 7, and Firefox ready at hand. Explorer is growing on me again. Which one I'll use as default when I get a Windows 8 machine I can't say yet, but I'll certainly have all three. The plus of Chrome is you can sign in and have everything the same on a new machine. Certain pages I use for work get rendered better in Explorer or Firefox. Opera is always worth trying as well, despite its limitations. Maxthon has every add-on you could ever ask for built right in, but the security is awful. And of course there is Safari, which will never feel quite right on a Windows machine.

Don't get why people make comments, but include no reasons for said comments. Google is the worlds most used browser, despite IE being shipped on every computer (except MACs). It is obviously not "trash". If you don't like it, feel free to say why not, but otherwise you sound like just a sad person with a poor attitude who thinks they are better than everyone else instead of someone who knows how to share their opinion.

I already have Windows 8, but the UI isn't quite 'perfect' for 7 users, but I eventually got used to it.

@angusdegraosta
Windows 8 has the same hardware requirements as Windows 7, so any Windows 7 PC can run Windows 8, and you can get a downloadable copy for $39.99

Have to say that so far it's a little weird that the initial windows 8 interface takes over everything but once you figure out there your control panel and your programs are its pretty cool. Bold, maybe risky but cool. I have to say though, man those soccer moms are going to freak out when they attempt to navigate through it for the first time. Geek Squad should be getting a good bit of business soon. Poor suckers.

Chrome is fast but that's really it. I find more rendering issues with Chrome then Firefox. I don't use extensions and actually I don't see any real issues with any browser that would cause me to not use it. If all I had was Chrome I could make it work. Same goes for IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera. I just don't get all the news about browsers?

I have Chrome and I love it. It's so simple and uncluttered. Also, I love the 'most visited' tool in the new tab screen. I also love how you can drag bookmarks into your apps screen.

I use Chrome as well so this will be quite handy for me. I just don't like Internet Explorer because of the lack of add-on availability including Greasemonkey support which I use quite a lot in Chrome.

How can you say a browser with 19% market share is the world's most used browser over another one with 54% market. Did you hate maths this much when you were @school.

Depends on what data you look at. http://gs.statcounter.com/ says Chrome is slightly ahead of IE. Plus, a lot of people are probably forced to use IE at work.

If all of these other browsers are so great, then why do all of my clients online applications quit working once they are installed?
Seems like nothing runs, unless it is on IE
This is not one app, or one customer, and when you call the provider, all of them state you need IE? Some do not support IE 9 either, so we are stuck with IE 8 everywhere or compatibility mode, depending on the vendor

Because there are literally hundreds of HACKS done to make IE work. Most of them break compatibility with proper handling of the function. Meaning that if companies would stop breaking the code to fix IE they would work in everything else.

Have a few more HoHos, Twinkies and some more Yahoo chocolate drink...maybe some Taco Bell Locos Tacos. Don't worry, the munchies go away when you wake up.

Damned predictive text! Obviously that should be YooHoo not Yahoo, although it could be a Freudian slip. ;)

You can change Chrome from traditional to Windows 8 style and back. Go to Customize and control Google Chrome.
