Hi I'm not exactly sure when this problem began but I can only be certain it was after January 2012, and my laptop was not much older than a year by this point, but my laptop now requires me to have to hold down the control key to be able to access the rest of the keyboards functionality when I try to pay any game whether this is a flash game a steam game or a even third party games like minecraft. I was never really a pc gamer before I got to uni as all I have is my laptop and their not very suited to games in the same way a separate monitor and keyboard a and mouse are like you would get with a pc, but once I got to uni my disabled student allowance gave me these external devices to use as an enhanced viewing platform for when I'm at my desk so I decided to give pc games a go I found as long as stuck to relatively simple ones in terms of amount of controls IE portal minecraft ect they were just as fun as console gaming. but I took a break over Christmas vacation from pc gaming and only really played console games when I got back to uni in January 2012 until I friend showed me what was on offer with humble indie bundle 5 which when I saw I could get some of the best indie games of all time DRM free for about $10 so as a student I was more happy to do this. that was when i started playing pc games again so this was probable around June/may sort of time,. as I hadn't played any of these games before i just thought I had to hold down my control key to move LIMBO around whilst playing LIMBO but this started to more of a hassle when I tried to play bastion or psychonauts as they have a much broader control scheme and need my full hand available which can't be down whilst its stuck on the control key. but I still thought it was just how the games were programmed so I tried to carry on then I went back to portal and minecraft for a bit and found i was unable to move my characters until I held down control which I never remember having to do in the past so I then tried playing all my other games and the problem arouse in all of them. since that point on the 7th of June I've unistalled any potential dodgy software that I might have installed before the after December this included my emulators and all open source video editors and other freeware or open source software which is on the fringes of being illegal I have checked my steam keyboard settings and couldn't find anything wrong with them. I've updated my laptops drivers for both its keyboard and my usb keyboard but nothing seems to work does anyone know of this issues and how to resolve it thanks in advance and sorry for bad grammar/spelling
