It was intentional. Yes it was rebranded because I have about 20 copies of it.

Windows 8 is a useless OS that Microsoft released that has many flaws and bugs. DO NOT USE IT. Use Windows XP or Windows 7.

You know, after re-reading your statement, you almost come across as "Microsoft renamed it because I bought 20 copies of it."

You know, it is also interesting to note that Office 4.0 was released in 1994, not 1993 as "Office 93" would indicate.

Early release of it was done in 1993, which is why it was rebranded 1993.
