Hp Dv4z Not Booting

Here's a new one, I have a friends HP dv4z laptop that is not booting from the hdd

There is no bootloader error. I see the HP BIOS splash and then the cursor blink once in the upper left hand corner and that's it.

My Win7 disk cannot repair the startup either.
Even the experts started out as beginners

Have you tried Seatools (bootable) on it?

Only the Win7 install DVD, I don't have another PC to load up Seatools on...
