This article is sponsored by LogMeIn.... says so right at the top.
BTW, windows 8 is NOT 2 weeks old. More like a year and its been getting patches the whole time so it is SECURE. Come on folks, nothing to see here. This is a marketing scam to get you to use log me in.

You mean to say Windows security isn't as rock solid as Microsoft says it is?? The end of the world must have arrived! I better back-up my files to my other hard drive...oh wait, that runs on a Microsoft platform too.

So, Windows gets security patches, and that is a bad thing?
I guess MS is supposed to ignore them...

After decades of experience in writing Intel based processor operating systems, you'd think they'd be able to at least get the security aspect nailed down. Can Service Pack 1 be far behind?

There is no such thing as a secure OS. Not even Linux. If you want a secure computer, don't connect to the net, don't install programs, don't let anyone use your computer, keep it in a secure locked place. In other words don't use the computer.
Saying that, I wonder how much Kirk Lindsky or PC World got paid for an advertisment for LogMe in writing in a commentary article.

Do you honestly think security actually CAN be a set-it-and-forget-it approach? With people learning new ways to attack systems DAILY, do you really think this can be accomplished?
I have to question your sanity if you do.
