P510 is decent, price is reasonable, but not the best performer in the group.
In term of function, Panasonic's FZ200 is nice; in term of price, Fuji's HS30 EXR is one of the best value DC; outlook, pentax X-5 and Fuji's XS-1 are the best in my opinion

Nikon Coolpix P510 is a point and shoot camera. You can 42x optical zoom and 2x digital zoom. You can use the Nikon P510 to shoot videos in Full HD at 1920 x 1080 dot pixels and 30 fps. The EXPEED C2 image processing system delivers high-sensitivity performance which, in turn, provides crystal clear images every time. This camera also support SD, SDHC or SDXC memory cards.

I like the Nikon CoolPix line. I've had three and been very impressed. The fragile part is the display screen, even the slightest pressure will fracture the element. I prefer the AA battery type VS the rechargable, especially if the Lith-Ion batts are used.
