There was an exploit that was released about a week ago that involved mobile devices and the FB App. Not getting into too much detail, it's basically the chat client and the lack of a character limit, and it would restart the phone / tablet.

I wonder if there is a connection?

Have had my cyan 920 since last Monday. Wow what an incredible phone! I wanted to comment because I have been reading about these issues, but I haven't had ONE, not a single reboot, lock up, app crash, nothing. This thing is extremely fast also. Highly recommend it to others.

I also have the Lumia 920 and after a week of playing with it (constantly!), I haven't had a single problem. Went to this from an iPhone 4 I had for over two years. It's much bulkier than the iPhone, but boy, do I love this thing. It's screen is just so big & gorgeous. The Windows Phone OS is so much more fun and exciting than iOS, which was honestly looking very old and tired to me. The live tiles are the thing. Looking forward to how MS develops this. Recommend it very highly!

Exactly why I would never even consider a MS OS on my phone (or my car). I can just imagine needing to call 9-1-1 in an emergency, and hoping my phone didn't mysteriously crash. No thanks!

Makes me wonder about HTC's testing environment. Why wouldn't you virtualize the interactions between your devices and all the popular services on the market to be sure this doesn't happen? Service Virtualization could keep companies from getting this kind of black eye. It's crazy.

Why would anyone expect Win Phones to behave differently from the Win OS? This is expected behavior from a Windows product -- which is why Win Phone sales are so low. Nobody trusts Windows when it comes to reliability and stability.

So Facebook puts out a buggy app and somehow that's Windows or the hardware makers fault?

Yes, absolutely! This s a closed system and all apps must be tested and approved by Microsoft.

We have had no problems at all with my wife's new Lumia 920. Nor with two older Lumia 900s running WP 7.5.

That's what it looks like. I think we are on instant gratification mode. I've has several hours with WP 8 and I prefer it to Android. You can't beat Microsoft for corporate and education.
