Black Screen Of Death computer crash

I have a Win 7 system get it up and running then 2-3 minutes later I get a black screen, sometimnes the fan starts running full speed. I was checking the temp of the GPU 35 when it crashed. I found something about updates causeing a problem but I think it might be a hardware problem any ideas would be great.Bert

Does it boot up and remain stable in Safe mode?

If it remains stable in Safe mode, then there may be a driver problem. Have you updated drivers lately? Ran Windows Update? Installed a new program?

If so, you can run System Restore back to a point before any of the above were done, hopefully. Give it a try.
