Has anyone had experience with one of these?
Been thru the upgrade?
Did it work, in that the game you wanted to perform better did so?
And what is your opinion of the advisability of getting a lappy that can upgrade graphics?

I only know of a couple people with upgradeable cards. Their cards are powerful enough that they never bothered to actually upgrade them.... It is supposed to be easy enough, be truthfully, the dumb cards are hard to find and insanely expensive most of the time.

Hey ElfBane !
As you might know. I have just purchased a Eurocom Scorpius which is a upgradable
platform.
I had to go back for a repair which I thought was a HDD problem. I was with the Tech
when he opened the back of the notebook. It seemed complicated but, when watching
him taking it apart, it was Very simple. Eight small screws and fan , copper tubing and
the video cards ( I have a crossfire setup) where all accessible. All he did was to pull
out the cards one at a time.
I have to say that these platforms are VERY expensive.
It comes with Two 300 watt power bricks.
Battery life well, I haven't verified but, I can't imagine more than 1 hr.
I have it on a cooler and after a three hr stint of playing CoD, it didn't show any signs of overheating.
I checked with RealTemp and it was registering at 58*C for CPU and 61*C for the
crossfire setup .

I don't know if I will ever have to upgrade as these are powerful enough to play ALL
