MS could avoid releasing it in the states if it thinks it will undercut the larger xbox sales.

I don't see that happening though because they will cater to multiple people, and likely increase the number of Live subscribers. Plus, with them potentially working on a game streaming service... who's to say you can't play split screen with the second screen streamed to the mini.

The way I see it, the Mini is more of a souped up cable box that uses the internet instead. "Casual" games likely means downloadable games (such as Platypus), not games that require 3gb+ of data (which would require a disk for most connections) + downloads. It looks to take Google TV and Apple's TV box head on, which could make things interesting in that market because you know the TV market is going to want a piece of that pie.
