I dropped Sound Forge in favor of Vegas years ago. SF in today's audio world is only good for some quick mastering.. and even then, you can probably do just a good a job in Vegas.

Lacking multiple tracks makes editing audio in SF a pain in the @ss.

I have used SF for years. so accustomed to it, I find it to be small and powerful enough to edit the motivational speeches that my Job demands.
On the other hand, If you need to edit music /multitrack material, I find PRO Tools to be the ideal program.
