Look at the enhancements in microprocessors list given below and ram 4 to 8 gb of laptop's these days. On the hardware side Guys don't you think we are being fooled. Firstly software hasn't improved much. In fact most software are pretty simple stuff nowhere in comp to software programmes which were developed earlier.

With this sort of hardware why are our Laptop's so slow ? Also Manufactures design the laptop in such a way that it can't be upgraded. The graphic cards are onboard. Small gpu chips which will fail soon in next 1- 3 years because the led display is hd 1080 or the movies are full hd. These laptops need separate graphic cards and cooling fans which can be serviced easily - no way not seen even with a MacBook forget about other manufactures.
Also we spend so much money on such bullshit tech spec dual core , quad core - utter nonsense ! With no enhancement in software what sense does it make?

Pardon me, but I came trying to find info regarding the better of these two desktops vs laptops and *the best of the two OS in windows, 7 or 8*...
I need a new computer. I have a HP Pav., that started out as windows Vista, but after HD failure that I replaced, I upgrade it to windows 7 because I had a Laptop HP windows 7. I also have a external 700GB HD for storage of photos & music. I used my PC to watch movies from Netflix: through PC to TV, & shortly later, the power pack is going bad...
I thought that I could keep this PC & just replace parts as needed. My theory was, like a car, u don't get rid of the car because the starter goes out, but I was told it don't work that way. so I need a new PC.
I have heard that windows 8 is awful, by everyone I have talked to. My first ever PC was a compaq ME, which was truly awful!!!
So could u plz give me insight on which is better windows 7 or 8 & I'm undecided about a desktop or laptop. If I go with laptop, I'll be plugging in my external HD to store & printer/scanner when need be. So what do u think? Thank you, kindly...
