HP Envy X2 is missing from your list and should definitely supplant several of these options. I'm really not sure how you missed this.

My first choice is also the HP Envy x2: it's stylish, has an amazing battery life (2 batteries), comes with NFC, Beats Audio, etc.

I tried the Yoga at Best Buy, loved it, and was set to buy, but it's not available. 3 week minimum wait at Lenovo. So I've decided to wait until the MS Surface Pro comes out and consider buying something then. I loved the Yoga -- would've bought it on the spot. Seems like they underestimated the demand!

I'd switch from the Yoga if something else comes out with better battery life and disc space -- but the Yoga keyboard and display are both strikingly good.

I bought the Asus Vivo Tab tf810, which I am probably going to use mostly as a notebook. I considered the Yoga, but thought it was just too big and heavey to use as a tablet. I am pleased with the Vivo Tab.

Beats are terrible audio products.

You can't go out and buy one of those right now.

The Dell Latitude 10 is also missing from the list. I am tempted to get the Dell Latitude 10 because of the battery change out capabilities. What happens to tablet batteries after 2-3 years?

From my experience, Lenovo ships faster than they say so you can place the order and it might be here before 3 weeks :)

You can buy it now ships in 3-4 weeks. I would say worth the short wait for a comparable, if not better hybrid tablet.

Hybrids, hmm...

Or, you could just use a less expensive, more powerful traditional laptop. I know what I would chose.

It's not on the list because you cannot buy it today (as in the name of the article)...

The one that should be on the list is the ASUS VivoTab, which you can buy today (I'm writing this post using one)...

I bought an ASUS VivoTab also and I love it... I haven't had any problems and it runs everything I've installed on it perfectly...

Since I want something with 4g. I'm waiting for HP elitebook 900, until January 2013. Microsoft and HP missed the Christmas rush. Way to go ginormous corporations. Also, I think I will pick up a Windows 8 phone (Lumia 920? Just played with an HTC that was pretty cool though, haven't seen the Lumia).

Sorry, but there is absolutely no way you can put together a top five list without putting a Clover Trail tablet on the list. For the price and features, I don't see how you could beat the Acer Iconia 510. With its keyboard dock, it's going to be about $400 less than the Surface Pro.

Absolutely terrible list.

The Envy X2 is available at Officeworks (for Australians). I work there and opened it up te other day. Terrific tablet. Very light, and beautiful brushed al design. Also, a really good keyboard, and everything was nice and snappy on the Atom. My only issue with it was that the ppi wasn't very high. Almost like I was looking at an iPad 2 (though not quite).

I gave up on Windows 8. Back to 7 for me. 8 is horrible.
