"millions of people enjoy these things without turning violent." Yeah, millions of people enjoy guns too without turning violent however, that doesn't seem to matter anymore.

These small minded, career politicans can do anything they want!!! No one now has the will or guts to stand up for what is right. No one cares anymore but you can bet, let them come after the cell phones and xboxs and all hell will break loose.

I love this country but these spineless cowards have turned it into a real pit of sorrows. It's a shame the once mighty United States is now nothing more than a 3rd world country with 1st world attitude.

I remember back in the good old days when people thought Rock 'n roll music was tainted with the devil, and his evil words, That rock 'n roll is the source of all violence and evil in the world. God I miss those days

Hmmm... isn't this a bit hypocritical of our government? A great deal of these games mimic real-life war scenarios. So they want to get critical about violence in the videogames, but not the violence they're instigating with all these wars? Please... get real.

Gun violence is very real all over the world... even in countries where it is illegal for citizens to own guns. Want to end gun violence? Start a nuclear war. It has little or nothing whatsoever to do with violent video games. Me being a little more on edge because I play a lot of CoD does not equal buying a gun and then using said gun on the public. Neither does having a gun necessarily make me more likely to act out violently. It's more buying the gun is part of the general inclination of a person in the first place rather than the gun making them dangerous. Most people that buy guns buy them either because they have a sense that it will protect them whether from real or perceived threats or they feel a duty to uphold their right to bear arms. I worry about both, but I worry more about the guy buying a gun to harm innocent people. Nothing can be done to curb this as far as gun control other than eliminating gun show loopholes and keeping better track of guns from point of manufacture to end-user. In the end, you can't stop it or even curb it much. Prostitution and drugs are illegal. One can readily get access to either. I don't own a gun, but in the real world gun violence exists, and I should have a right to defend myself and others with whatever reasonable force is available. Considering that so often criminals carry guns, it is reasonable to use a gun in defense. That doesn't mean I need an assault weapon. So, yeah, I think that there are things that the NRA fight for just to spend their donor's money, but I don't think guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens are the problem either. But then, I haven't heard ANYONE saying anything about getting rid of law-abiding citizens' guns except for the nutjobs trying to scare people into thinking just that. CoD will continue to be developed and portrayed in a way that the developers want until they decide otherwise. No laws will change that. We're talking about violence here, not sex. Now that is a different story. Most men in this country should be in jail or at least on some kind of list according to some of the sex laws in this country. But violence will never be legislated to the point that some of you fear because too many of the same people that created those sex laws also belong to the NRA. Stop worrying about nothing but hot air. Jeez, I wasted so much time on that.

The thing that I don't get about people who are against violent video games is the people that are against violent video games but don't care about violent movies. Sure I don't care if some radical religious group is against violent video games and everything else fun, but lot of people ho don't like violent video games don't care about violent movies. I don't understand why there is a difference between the two but then again I support both. I think that a attitude against violent video games is a generational thing. Older generations will think that violent video games are terrible, but newer generations will see people playing violent video games with no ill side effect at all and come to the conclusion that violent video games don't affect people.
