I have a Lg. flat screen monitor that has a built in Webcam, speakers, & mic. PROBLEM: The webcam ONLY works with a 32-bit OS. There are no 64-bit drivers from the monitors manufacturer. My OS is 64-bit Win7, so the webcam won't work. Do I have to find a 64-bit web-cam? I haven't been able to find one yet.
So are any of you using 32-bit webcams on a 64-bit OS? OR are 64-bit webcams readily avail. in USA?

Hi,
I assume you bought this monitor some time ago. It's best to buy a laptop/tablet with a webcam as it comes with preinstalled OS and webcam compatibility should be no problem. Or change a monitor, which is cheaper and an upgrade won't do any harm. And Microsoft's Compatibility Center (Devices > Communication devices > Webcams) actually lists 560 Win 7 compatible webcams, but problems with 64 bits are reported in some cases. But don't panic, Yahoo answers says most webcams available now support 64 bits. At least they should, as 64 bit OSs have been on the market for a few years.

Actually the Monitor (Not laptop or toy-let) isn't old at all. I'll try buying a new separate webcam, even though all the ones sold here are Absolute JUNK. That's gotta be cheaper than flying back to Hong Kong to buy another monitor!

From everything that I can gather, Logitech's webcams have 64 bit drivers. I haven't found anything that directly states it, but this page does list both 32 bit and 64 bit version of Windows:
http://logitech-en-a...,2,4,5/cl/us,en
And when going to Microsoft's webpage, it appears they offer drivers for 64 bit Windows for their webcams.
