I just got a pair of Astro A40 white editions for christmas. I tried to set them up, but no sound is coming out.
My motherboard has an SPDIF out input, which I pluged my A40's into, and then I also plugged them into a USB port for power. I try and make my playback device my Astro MixAmp, but that doesnt work, then I tried making it my realtek audio outfup(optical) which didnt work either. I dont know what the problem is so any help is appreciated, and happy holidays.

Have you verified that you have a driver installed for the SPDIF audio? What kind of computer are you using? A "manufactured" (i.e. Dell, HP, etc) or a "built" one (i.e. one that you or someone else built from parts)?

I built my own PC, and I went on the ASUS website, but can't find a driver for the SPDIF...

Hi,
You may try this Softpedia stuff. Guess it supports S/PDIF and it's Realtek.
