I have my computer since 4.5 years now , and in the recent months i encountered this problem that gets worse as time passes. In the beginning when my cpu was being used my sound (youtube videos , music , movies and music in some video games ) was interrupted by very short static noises ( some sort of interferences i don't know exactly how to describe them) , then it happened even at slightest cpu usage , when i used the browser for example , now it happens constantly even if i only play winamp and do nothing else.

What do you think is the problem and how can i fix it?

It's a desktop. I don't have a sound card or anything special installed so , that makes it integrated right?
It's not related with my speakers , because it happens also when i use my headset.

Yesterday i uninstalled my audio driver and i had the issue without it too.

Hi, Sayno, and welcome to the forums.

Considering the age of your PC and your description of the problem, I suspect it's a hardware problem--perhaps a lose connection somewhere.

One way to test my theory: Boot from a live Linux CD or flash drive (Puppy Linux is small and light, Ubuntu will give you an actual work environment) and see if the problem occurs there.

Are you comfortable opening up your PC and examining the innards?

Lincoln

You can easily download them for free, and Ubuntu anyway is easy enough to use if you're used to Windows. (unlike 8) BTW here's a tool to get a Linux distro on a flash drive: http://www.pendrivel...-easy-as-1-2-3/

Ok , let me see if i got this right. I need to install Puppy Linux or Ubuntu , which are operating systems and will replace windows.

I don't know when i will be able to to that though because i need to work every day with some software , which i don't know if they will work with those things.

No, you're not replacing Windows - you can boot most Linux distro off a CD or flash drive without actually installing them.

I used the Universal USB installer to put Ubuntu desktop on the flash drive , but i don't know how to boot it. I tried some options in the boot menu , when the computer starts and looked at bios setup . but i have no idea how to do it.

I booted from the following devices , in the boot menu USB FDD , USB ZIP , USB CDROM , USB HDD , nothing worked windows just starts normally .

Look at the hard drive boot order.

This is how my boot menu looks like:

http://www.uploadscr...1809947/5269371

I opened the hard disk menu

http://www.uploadscr.../1809948/893041

The 1st and 3rd option if i use them they say "insert disk to continue"
and the 2nd doesn't do anything.

Hmm, that's interesting. Does the USB HDD option show it?

Take a look at this: http://www.pendrivel...s-boot-options/ My Pentium 4 box from 2004 can boot off flash drives, so I'd be surprised if your machine can't.

"Tips:

If your BIOS lists the USB memory stick as a hard drive, you should select it as the 1st boot device.

You should always remove other USB boot options from the boot priority list when attempting to boot from USB-ZIP or USB-HDD to avoid conflicting startup Cues.

The file-system used may also affect the BIOS's ability to detect and boot the drive. If a Fat file-system doesn't work, try Fat32. The partition must also be active or the device will not boot.

Be sure to keep an eye out for BIOS updates from your board manufacturer.

Through experience, we have found that most "recent" Award/Phoenix and AMI BIOS's can generally support USB boot."

1. How do i remove the usb boot options?

2. How can i change the Fat filesystem?

3. Where can i see what kind of motherboard i use?

4. Can i install other version of BIOS?
