I'm new to the forums and I am also sure that there is already a topic about this, but I have not found anything that matches my situation. I bought the Acer Aspire V5 Touch yesterday at Best Buy, and when I went home to turn it on, there was a white spot on my screen. I have read up on dead pixels and I am positive this is not a pixel issue. When I touch the screen (it is a touchscreen laptop) there seems to be "waves" of some sort coming from it. Is there anyway to get rid of the spot? Or am I going to have to return it to Best Buy to get a different one? I uploaded a picture of it. The circle is right beneath the search bar to the right. Thank you in advance!

Hi, irishsn0w, and welcome to the forum.
I suspect this is a hardware problem. One way to know for sure: Does it show up when you're not in Windows? Say, at the beginning of the boot sequence? Or when you go to the setup screen.
Since it's a new laptop, I suspect your warranty covers this. Bring it back for a repair or a replacement.
