Does this program work with computers that have Windows 8 factory-installed? The ones that have about 6 partitions, mostly designed for recovery/restore.

Frustrating as it may be, I fear these hoops are just the nature of operating systems. They all set up the computer to work a certain way. How else could they work? And don't forget that the overwhelming majority of PC uses (especially Apple users) are incredibly ignorant about how to use their computers efficiently (most don't even understand the concept of a file manager), much less how to do any customization. They just accept their computers the way they come and never even seek out any training. Yet using a computer is even more complicated than driving a car -- a privilege for which you need to get a license (obviously the harm an incompetent driver can do to others -- like taking their lives in an accident -- is far greater than the harm incompetent computer users can do to others).

I dual boot Ubuntu. When starting up a screen pops up asking me which OS to use. That screen also gives you shortcuts to advance boot options and recovery mode. This author seem to see hoops where I don't. Another "PC World hates Win8 but will not outwardly say it" article, just like some others I have been finding on here. Besides, most average users could not care less about this stuff, which means these hoops really don't exist for the average consumer that is the vast majority using Win8.

I would like to know why every place you go these days wants you to download their stupid down loader sort of getting tired of that each place has there own downloader why are we not given a choice to just download the file besides I use IDM (internet download manager) I do not need a dozen others Thank You Darryl
