I'm impressed with the GG I have on my S2, I don't have a scratch yet. At this rate we'll have nearly indestructible glass in 20 years.

"Corning's glass is strengthened through a chemical process it calls ion exchange, which creates a toughened outer layer on the glass substrate. Each refinement to that process yields smaller and smaller improvements." Not — true for Gorilla Glass 3, which is an entirely new composition built from atomic level up using Topological Contraint Theory to simplify computational modeling techniques. Yes, GG2 was incremental build on GG1, but GG3 is different glass that could yield better-than-incremental improvements. This is the first glass product Corning has developed from scratch using advanced modeling techniques, so double breakthrough for company. Also, GG is not to be confused with Corning's other two prominent glasses for display applications: Willow Glass and Lotus Glass. Both can be easily flexed, not GG.

The glass on s2 is gg1 which is not as scratch prone as gg2 which is on s3.
