Providing the hardware is a good first step. However, that's the easy part of the equation. Having all of the software updated to take advantage of the high density display is another. Similarly, will web pages detect the hi DPI as they do on webkit based devices? Most sites that optimize now use the "window.devicePixelRatio" check. Explorer has a "window.msMatchMedia" element support, but it's not the same. Likewise, it will be interesting to see how these devices are supported.
