I am hoping this thread will assist anyone considering buying from CyberpowerPC. My review is based on my experience to date. If you have experiences with this company, please add your own review. Overtime, I hope this thread will accumulate enough feedback to help people make informed decisions.
This is the first company/product I have ever reviewed (apart from one BBB complaint). My experience has been so bad that I feel obligated to share it. I ordered a PC in May of 2012 and have had nothing but problems since.
I paid $49 for rush shipping, with the system to be mailed within 5 days. It took 28 days to arrive. Getting the $49 back was not easy. When the system arrived, it was physically damaged. The blu-ray drive was jammed too far into the case and wouldn't open. I had to place an old DvD drive in its place for 7 months before I finally received a replacement Blu-ray drive. It took them that long to get my RMA right.
While I was charged $49 for overclocking, I have discovered that my system was not overclocked. Everything is set to auto and runs at stock speeds. I am awaiting a response from Cyberpower.
Unfortunately, the customer service is the worst part of my experience. Almost every employee I have spoken with has been very rude. They interrupt me mid question. They do not answer my questions directly. I have to ask questions repeatedly to get straight answers. I have been transferred mid-sentence, with neither a harsh word nor tone coming from me. I once asked for a supervisor and had the person put the call on hold, and then answer as their supervisor. Almost every time I call, I am told the same person who sent me updates during the build and shipping is the only one who can assist me. I have been able to speak with them once in 6 months. The rest of the time I leave messages and hope they get back with me. I was also informed today that the company keeps no record of my calls. There is no record of who I talked with. There is no record of when I called. There is no record of what was discussed. How can a company expect to properly assist customers without tracking their service team or the customer’s experiences?
To summarize, I must implore anyone wanting to buy PC equipment to look elsewhere. Based on my experience, Cyberpower fails to provide timely service, fails to deliver functioning hardware, charges for services not rendered, and has some of the worst customer service out there. Buyer Beware!

My experience has been horrible. I bought a gaming pc last Nov. I finally received it 3 months later. I bought it for gaming. However, it constantly locked up. At times it was crashing every 10 minutes. They wanted me to start pulling out hardware to trouble shoot the problem. I am no techy, so I sent it back under the 30 day warranty. It cost me $65 to ship it back. I figured I probably had a bad piece of hardware so I ordered another pc from Cyber Power, I want a gaming PC and I don't want to build it.
I recieved my 2nd pc April 4th. To my "horror" it is crashing and giving me more problems than the first one! It will not run for more than 15 minutes without locking or crashing. I sent it to CyberPower under warranty (still under my 30 day return clause" to have them figure out the problem under warranty. They had it 1 day and shipped it back telling me they could not find anything wrong with it. Of course the thing is still locking and crashing. I have called technical support 3 times and they would like to me to reinstall windows. I asked them why they didn't do that when they had it in for repairs. They told me they did. If they did how come all of my history and files were still there. I had one day left on my 30 day warranty. I told them if they could guarantee me another 30 day warranty I would work with them to figure it out. They told me sorry but we cannot do that.
At this point I said "I don't want it. I can't use it. I am sending it back". I do not recommend buying from CyberPower. I am 6 months out, I still don't have a PC, I am waiting for over $3,000 credited to my credit card, and I still had to pay another $65 for shipping.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time CyberPower has come up here and in a negative fashion. To 1stover, you may wish to tell of your experience with your Credit Card Issuer. There may be some recourse there. I saw something in one of the two threads about not wanting to build your own computer. I know it sounds intimidating to some. If you have small & medium sized philips head screwdrivers, you can build a computer as they are just about all the tools you need. A small specialized toolkit is relatively inexpensive. Anyway, we see people all the time here that are ready to tackle their first build. They don't have a clue as to the parts they need. If not stated in the initial post, the first two questions we'll ask is 1) What do you plan on doing with it ? and 2) What is your budget ? With the answers, we can then get a parts list up ( I usually provide links so all you have to do is click on the link and add it to your cart once the list is finalized ). I used to buy off the shelf computers and then upgrade them as far as I could go. My last was in 2010 I think and it was a high end Gateway FX. I upgraded the processor, power supply, add video card. It will play any game out there and at high settings. About a year later, I decided to build one ( my first ). Yes, I was a bit apprehensive, but went ahead with it. Determined what parts I wanted then ordered them. It went with out a hitch, except I then had to order a keyboard as I didn't have a USB Keyboard. Once that arrived. I hooked it up it posted fine then finished the job with Installing the Motherboard software ( I already had the OS on the Hdd that I had moved from the Gateway ( it was a Retail Copy and NOT OEM, so could do that ). Anyway, we have a lot come in with their first build. We get the parts lined up and are here for any questions or concerns they may have on the build. There is no better feeling when you fire up your newly built computer and it posts then loads and is ready to go. As I said, it is intomidating, but only until you start and then you start having fun. The important thing is to not rush and take your time. Getting back to CyberPower, we warn people away from them for the reason that have been posted here. I don't know who is behind CyberPower, but they definitely have a bad rep. Not sure of iBuyPower, but haven't really seen anything negative. Another is SystemMax. They are the parent company of TigerDirect and seem to be pretty good.
