Hello,
in the next few months I am going to buy a new pc,the problem is that I have a low budget but require pretty high performance and handling,
I want to buy a proccecor that wouldn't go over 130$ and will have a minimum 4 cores and 3.0GHz (not for overclocking)
for what I will use it ? for gaming, handling many applications at once and with out slow down and I will need it to handle graphic(s) modeling
(with out all the applications open of course,to not reduce the performance)
now,I was looking into Intel's price's for i5,but unfortountelly, their price's are too high for me and my budget just too limited and can not go this far.
But AMD has 4 cores proccecor's that does fulfill all my needs and right in the budget, but my question was, which one ?
First I went with the A8-3870K,but then after reading a topic on other forum,I've readed that A8-3870K with FM1 campered to FX AM3+ is just a slow crap and especially if I am not overclocking,so I went to search after a proccecor with socket AM3+ and found two proccecor's,low priced.
one was FX-4100 3.6GHz Quad core and the other was FX-6100 3.3GHz Six core.
So my question is - which is better and faster ?
If you've any suggestions for other proccecor that will fit my budget, post them below and please explain why or how is it better than the two proccecor's I mentioned before.

P.S. my screen resolution is 1024x768(maybe will increase it to 1280x720 later if it will not lag on 1024x768) and I am going to use it with the GPU MSI R4850(with heatsink's)
just mentioned in case people will wonder what kind of GPU I have and in what resulotion I am going to use it and if everything depends on the kind of the GPU and the reolution.

Thank you,
B6.

Cores aren't everything. The i3 is likely your best bet - comparable performance, but with a lower TDP. Also, AMD's Bulldozer and Vishera CPUs don't truly have the amount of cores claimed - a "quad-core" really means 4 integer processors and 2 of everything else. Plus, they consume more power.
