Hello,

I will be going overseas to South Korea for about a year. Is their network CDMA or GSM? I believe it may be CDMA but I want to make sure. Can I use a Samsung Galaxy S III there? If so, what would be the best SIM cards to purchase.

Thanks

I guess no one can assist me with this?

They use CDMA. I'm not exactly sure how using your own phone there would work - CDMA is definitely not as good as GSM in that regard.

Thanks for responding. I was planning on purchasing an unlocked SSG III online. I just wanted to if I should get a CDMA or a GSM version.

If your phone is CDMA, then you can use it in S. Korea. You WILL get hit with roaming charges though and they won't be cheap, I would imagine. You may need to notify your carrier in advance though, but not sure.
