hi fellas! I need your help once again. Is ther a wireless printer that I can use with multiple devices one of them being an android tablet? I would love to be able to print coupons when shopping from my wifes tablet. If ther are which would you recommend? I dont wanna spend too much but I will for a good quality printer that wont give me problems connecting. Would I need a special app for tha tablet to work with it? Any help is much appreciated!! Thanks guys!

You can do Google's Cloud Print:

Note that you will have to have a Windows computer connected to the printer that is running.

I would assume there are other similar solutions using third party apps. They typically will always need some "server" application running on a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer with that computer being connected to the printer. I have such an app on my iPhone/iPad for printing.

To my knowledge, there is not direct equivalent to Apple's AirPrint where you can print directly to the printer...except that there are some printers that are "Internet aware" and that can allow printing to that printer by sending certain types of documents to a special email address for the printer. A friend has such a printer.

Brother has an app for their printers that I've tried on my phone (I've used it with my MFC-9840CDW, which is directly connected to the network), and it works, but not well (heck, even minor 4.x Android updates cause it to stop working until they update it sometimes...). Basically, you open the app, point it to a URL (note that it doesn't seem to like letting me print the printer-friendly version of the page when the link for that simply goes directly to a print dialog... very irritating), PDF, image, etc, and then print it.

Hi

Type in "android for printing" in Google and take your pick.

Connecting a printer directly to a smartphone or tablet can be a problem, in part because any given printer manufactures may not offer a printing app for any given phone or tablet. Worse, even if there's an app for your printer, you probably won't be able to connect the printer directly to your mobile device. More likely, you'll have to connect both to an access point and print that way, or, as with HP ePrint Home & Biz app, print some files through the access point and others by going through a cloud-based print utility.
