So, before I upgraded to Windows 8, I used 7. I bought a Bluetooth dongle and an Apple Bluetooth keyboard, and it worked really well. After upgrading, I reinstalled the Bluetooth adapter and re-paired the keyboard. All was well until just a few days ago when out of nowhere the keyboard stopped working. Going into the PC settings, it shows the keyboard still in my device list as "offline" and when I attempt to remove it, it fails. I've also tried removing it through the device window through the desktop, but to no avail and I've paired the keyboard to my iPad 2 to erase the pairing with my laptop.
What can I do to get the Apple keyboard out of my device list??

You're probably going to hate me for asking this, but: Did you try replacing the batteries in the keyboard?
Sorry, had to start somewhere....

Yep. I've had it paired with my iPad so it's working. The problem is with 8, I guess. The keyboard still shows in my devices list and when I try to remove it, it just says it failed.

It looks like it may have something to do with the keyboard going to sleep, but I'm not well versed in Apple hardware.
