Sony came out with the Walkman and some great TV's back in the day. Then they came out with some proprietary mini disks and memory sticks that didn't do so well. Then they came out with bluray which is a good technology but there was the stigma that they won the war unfairly (thats gone now though). Then the PS3 which has a great processor and graphics, but is otherwise pretty horrible to make games for compared to the Xbox 360 plus the Sony dashboard is horrible. Sony really isn't good at making tools and interfaces.

Sony really needs to go back to its roots and innovate. They need to put money into hiring people who are good at making interfaces and tools that are easy to use. Then things might start looking up. Right now Samsung, LG and Vizio are the top TV makers. Sony really doesn't have a stand out product.

Fortunately this seems the way apple is heading too.

Sony does in fact have stand-out top of the line TV's but there is just one little problem, THEY ARE WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!

Yeah, Apple doesn't know how to make a good user interface, or innovate, you tell 'um. OSX is all intuitive and user friendly, pffftt. Who wants that is their computer experience? iOS is has almost no learning curve and people don't have problems navigating or running apps, again, who wants that?! The iPhone, iPod, iPad, I mean how are any of those devices considered innovative? Apple needs to follow Sony's example and get back to its roots. I remember reading an article yesterday saying Apple is doomed! Come on Cook, lets get this show in the road!

And they don't work!!! They ALL suffer from the same firmware bug that makes them reboot periodically and lose their settings. It's been over a year that they've known of this and have been working on it, but have not been able to fix it.

Yeah, no one ever figured out a way to run ISX on anything other than Apple's hardware! In your face Apple!

So what exactly has Apple done since Jobs died?

Oh boy, look at the iPhone and iPod 5! they're TALLER, how amazing! Oh, and you know that 30-pin input that's been the Apple standard since the original iPod? Lol that's gone now, enjoy your useless cords.

oh, and how about that iPad, remember how amazing that was? Yeah, we made it smaller! enjoy.

SUCH INNOVASHUN

.... and what exactly has Samsung done since?

Oh yes, Samsung made their iPhone knock-offs taller, wider, thinner, thicker, cheaper, smaller, added a stylus, removed a stylus. Samsung spent billions in advertising and (NOT) keeping the OS up to date for all their not so loyal customers.

Apple created THREE completely new markets over the last decade.

Samsung? Well, Samsung killed SONY. That must count for something.
