Windows Could Not Search For New Updates, Error 80080005 Windows 7 64bit

I have windows 7 64-bit, and a few months ago it started saying "Windows could not search for new updates, error 80080005". No matter what i do, i can not seem to get it to update. My last update is from August.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Hopefully i can avoid re-installing windows, or reformatting.
