Since PC Tools has quit support for Threatfire, will they still continue definitions updates (Smart Update)? I cannot find an answer anywhere to this question.

I wouldn't trust an orphaned security program. These programs need to be updated regularly, and not only with new definitions.

Trust in this case is a relative thing. I still use Threatfire on both my PCs. Its an added layer of security that I like having. And every so often I get a little popup in my system tray saying 'Threatfire has been updated' (or some similar message). So yes, they're apparently still pushing out definition updates. Just make sure its an added layer of security and not a main layer of security.
