I have a .iso file that's named DVD-R.iso. I had always thought that a .iso file was a .iso file.
Can I burn this file to a DVD+R or Must I burn it to a DVD-R?

.Iso files are compressed Images that is used alot to make setup disks. DVD+R and DVD-R media formats that the ISO can be written to with all the files need to install a program. The DVD-R and DVD+R are typeing of media and have to be matched up with the type of writer you have. Most DVD writers nowadays can write to both formats. I believe Windows 8 had ISO format built in and you dont have to write the file to DVD and install. You can execute the setup.exe right from Windows 8.

A - The 'DVD-R' Part Is Just The Name Of The File,
B - The '.ISO' Part Is The Extension Of The File.
Do Not Change ( B ), But ( A ) Could Be Changed To 'WHATEVER' And The File Inner Content Would Be Exactly The Same.
Cheers.
