Favorites Menu

I pin the favorites menu to the left side of my screen using Windows 7 Pro (64 bit). I use the menu then to go systematically from webpage to webpage. However the shading for the last selected website is so light that I have trouble finding where I left off. Is there anyway to darken the shading for the last selected site?
