Hello all,

I've got some photos on my phone which I'm trying to transfer to my PC laptop. I set up a Bluetooth connection - I'm a bit new to it, so I might have made mistakes - and I think I've got the two partnered.

But whenever I try to send a photo, I get the message "transfer failed", with no more information.

Despite this, transfers the other way round - from my laptop to my phone - work fine.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I haven't tried this with Bluetooth myself, but there some very easy ways to do this.

I've set up Dropbox on my phone so that, when I take a picture, it uploads directly to Dropbox. (You can set it up to only do this when there's a WiFi connection if you need to keep 3G/4G use down.) From Dropbox, it automatically goes to my computer.

You are assuming the original poster is using a "smartphone" that has a Dropbox app, etc. If it is in fact a smartphone, then I agree that something like Dropbox is WAY easier to do it than Bluetooth.

If, however, the original poster has a "feature" phone rather than a "smartphone", then easier options like Dropbox likely are not viable.

Good point.
