Hi there, I have a computer at home with Windows XP Home Edition and I wanted to upgrade it to Windows 7, I have a Windows 7 Professional disk, but I was wondering if I would have to do a clean install with the Professional version of Windows 7, or if that's just for the Home Premium edition? Because I think I saw on Microsoft's website, before Windows 8 came out, that you don't have to do a clean install if your upgrading XP to 7 Professional.

you have to do a clean install. (a good idea anyway) That said, all your files will be moved to the WINDOWS.OLD folder on the root of the disk (if you install to the same partition), which at least makes it faster to put things back.
