On Line Purchases failure to deliver

on 1-30-13 i ordered a nero 12 program from fry's .com order # f47934910000. on 1-31-2013 i received a confirmation #f47934910001 stating that my order had been received and shipped should be between 8-10 business days .due to the free shipping (super saver) .not a problem. so far! after approx. 1 week i was checking to see how it was doing and there was no tracking no. listed. so on 2-9-2013 i sent an e-mail requesting a tracking #.case: 420701. in response i received # 92789901093186583012146486 ups . so i checked the ups no. at ups and no package received on record. on 2-1013 i again contacted fry's customer service and again got the same response .now i contacted fry's service by phone and was told that it was p/u by ups ,but transfered to usps and to wait till wed.2-13-13 and it s/b delivered by then . well on 2-14-2013 we still had not received the package and are now worried that it was lost or never shipped!again contacted fry's service dept. and explained to them that this was not acceptable and it was holding up a new computer program set up for my new system. it was also a time sensitive issue as there are rebates involved for $60.00 and time was running out . again I stated that I wanted the program ,but if it was not delivered in time i would refuse the order if it ever came and cancel or stop payment (credit card) .after a lengthy debate iI decided to cancel the order,but they refused to give me a cancellation # . So now I am still willing to wait till 2-16-2013 in hopes that it will show but I do not hold out much hope ! I fear this is going to have to go thru my CC company and be a long drawn out affairand I will not only Have to wait for my refund of up front cost ,but miss out on the great rebates to boot . then I will have to go and repurchase the program(from another source,mind you ) as I will never deal with FRY'S ONLINE EVER AGAIN !!!
Even offered to drive 103 miles round trip to get it from their nearest store and was told no can do!!! I like the store ,but their .com service sucks! any help here would be welcome

Hi. When it was handed off to the USPS, you should still be able to track it. I would notify the Credit Card company as they can be helpful in matters such as this and maybe credit the purchase back to your account. I will say this, for computer related stuff, use TigerDirect & Newegg. They are both very good. I have had USPS lose stuff and I never received it ( it ended up going back to the original point of shipment 3 times ). We don't have any Fry's around here so I don't deal with them.

I have contacted both fry's and the card company. card company has said to work it through fry's 1st .if no solution found then they will get involved. typically after a mnth has gone by! ups informed us that the package was never p/u'd and there is no usps # to track .this was confirmed by fry's customer service (no further trkg #) they told us that a lost claim was being filed but no # was issued at that time and no e-mail has been sent with this information . At this point even if it where to magically appear i will refuse or return the package to them if it ever shows up. i am now looking for a different supplier or software vendor . by the way it still has not showed up as of 2-18-13 pretty sure it is lost or mishipped. I would hate to think that the co. would hold it back just to kill the rebate or the purchase ! but I have seen that before also!
