From time to time I read about malware, spyware, bots, etc., being threats to a PC. I have the Norton Security Suite provided as part of Comcast's Constant Guard service,
Are there significant holes in this Norton System that should be covered by other security software?

Thanks,

Bill

Hey Bill !

Norton has always been a hog of the PC's processes.

Now, it is better than what it used to be but, there are enough good FREE suits to compare with

the paid ones that I wouldn't even consider buying one these days.

Microsoft Security Essentials is one and complimented with MalwareBytes' Antimalware (free)

or SuperAntiSpyware (free) you would be very safe surfing the web.

If you want more info, just ask specifics along with a few details on the PC plus your surfing

habits and we will do our best to answer.

Sorry I have no idea on your post. My advice is that you make a conversation with your antivirus support team.

Norton Security Suite has the latest technology to help keep you safe against new online threats and viruses. Running the trial of Norton also requires registering the program. It Protects against viruses, spyware, Trojan horses, worms, bots, and rootkits. It blocks browser, OS, and application threats. It automatically secures your PC when connecting to public wireless networks.

It is a good idea to scan pc with outside antivirus. IE drweb or f secure or online scanner. Plus spyware tools like MalwareBytes' Antimalware and SuperAntiSpyware.
