 I guess somebody will jump on it. At $999. I'll be jumping back. No way I would put that kind of money into a video card. Besides, I just upgraded mine from the GTX 560Ti to the GTX 680 this past June.

That thing should jump out of the box and install itself. Paired with a overclocked capable MOBO you might actually see some speed difference, otherwise there isn't much market for a hobbyist to put down that much for a video card. GPU structures have now reached the point where a marriage isn't far off (i-watch). I'm looking for a MOBO with fiber optic buss for GPU to CPU interface. The studio systems are more complex but would have the same mission, editing video/audio on the fly. Network broadcasters pioneered the idea with the seven second delay. I played with both mechanical and solid state delay lines, more for laboratory use than as an audio tool. A bubble memory is the approach that has the ability to retain data without any power. It is handy for RAM or BIOS where the device is a first in - first out (FIFO). SSD is making more advances and a marriage there to a video card could really open some doors for developers. I don't see speedy advances though as the mobile market is just sucking up all the talent and development people.

You're not kidding anyone, Coastie! We all know you'll have a Titan GPU within a few months... :P

If I had wanted to spend that kind of money I would have a GTX 690 in here. :P
